Environmental impact
These advances have also brought significant benefits to the environment. It is estimated that in five years, ECOBICI will reduce the carbon footprint by 8,300 tons, which is equivalent to planting 49,000 trees in the city. Only in the first two years of operation of the new service, thanks to the 49.9 million kilometers traveled, 2,031 tons of CO₂ have been reduced in CDMX.
