Tips for riding safely and responsibly with ECOBICI
June 3rd is World Bicycle Day, a day that reminds us of the benefits of this mode of transportation, such as its practicality, health, and environmental friendliness. However, if you’re part of the ECOBICI community, you know that pedaling is also an act of responsibility. Here are some tips to help you keep riding with all your might… but above all, with awareness.
1. Always return your ECOBICI to a bike station
Don’t leave your bike on the street or recharged anywhere. By returning it properly to a bike station, you ensure it’s available for someone else and help maintain system order. It’s also much safer for everyone.
2. Check that it’s securely docked
Make sure you hear the classic “click,” see the green LED, and check your app to make sure the bike was returned correctly. This helps avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary charges, and allows the service to continue operating smoothly.
3. Remember it belongs to everyone
Don’t forget that ECOBICI is a shared system! Avoid mistreating the bikes, removing parts, or misusing them. If you notice any problems, report them through the app so the maintenance team can address them as soon as possible.
4. Respect pedestrians and signs
Remember that respect is essential. Regardless of how you move, we have responsibilities on the road. Ride in designated lanes, obey traffic lights and signs, and always give way to pedestrians. Good road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
5. Share cycling culture
Using ECOBICI is not just a way to get around, it’s also a way to build community. Share these tips, encourage more people to ride respectfully, and help us raise awareness among cyclists.
Cycling is more than just moving; it’s actively participating in safer, more organized, and more sustainable mobility. Join responsibly!
